| The Danish platform is to be founded |

| On June 4th, 2003, there was a great parlamentary conference on alternatives in Copenhagen. Professor Niels Thorn and Professor Ove Svendsen was among the organisers and both had presentations. The conference concluded that an important step forward would be a full membership of ecopa to be obtained by the establishing a national platform. In mid March professor Niels Thorn, a representative for the organisation of the Danish pharmaceutical industries (LIF), Dr. Flemming Højelse and Professor Ove Svendsen contacted the Ministry of Justice with the proposal of establishing a Danish platform for the three R´s in order to become a full member of ecopa. The negotiations with the ministry can now proceed with the conclusion of the conference as a strong incentative to establish the platform. They might have one before the end of 2003. |
